The art blogosphere is causing a stir; [no] thanks to Tokion’s List of Male Speakers at their Creativity Now Conference. My favorite Jen Bekman addressed the lack of females issue on her blog, Personism, which now has caught on fire and spread news to Wooster Collective, Brooklyn Vegan, Art Fag City, etc. So where’s the estrogen? In my entire Photo department, the ratio for female to male is like 10 to 1. There are so many of us, ladies, making art and doing our thing but why so under-represented?
